This covers most asked questions.  You may always contact us online or call 703-476-1747.  Sign up now.  Read our google reviews here Is this online course state-approved so I can get a real estate license?  Yes, it is approved by the Virginia Real Estate Board and qualifies you for the state license exam.  Our school is based in Virginia, (Reston), not another out-of-state companies.  Our instructor is an active Virginia broker and available during and after the course for any questions. How much is the course? $189 (limited time special) includes the online course, the course exam, free in-office books and our highly rated free personal exam review by licensed VA instructor and broker Paul Hartke (at our Fairfax County VA office).  Note: Personal review by email if not in the Northern VA area. Compare to other courses costing $300-450 without the benefits of the free review session or the “pass the exam tips”. How does the course work? The course is all online except for the live proctored exam. You log in and out as desired from home or work or anywhere with Internet access. The course is divided into short pages that you click through. There are periodic quizzes to help you remember what you read. Watch video demo of the course or if you’re near our Reston office, you can come in to meet the instructor who can show you a demo and details.  The proctored exam can be taken in our office or any library. What if I have a question about something during the course?  Our instructor Paul Hartke is a broker in Northern Virginia.  He is available to answer any content related question 7 days a week.  You may use a contact form or email him at any time.  He is very responsive.  So you have a real Virginia-based instructor.  You may also call our office at 703-476-1747 if needed. How long does it take to complete?  The course is at your own pace.  Most people take a couple months due to family, work or other activity.  Some have completed the course (with the minimum 50 hours required) within a week or two.  Some take longer.  It is up to your own time schedule. How long do I have to complete the course? You have 12 months (1 year) to complete the course.  You need to complete all the chapters and spend the minimum 50 hours required time online   After you complete the online course, you take the proctored exam.  We allow an extra 30 days beyond the 1 year expiration date for the course exam.  The proctored course exam may be taken at our Reston office or any library near you in any state. How does this compare to a live class?  Our online course is very convenient, highly rated and time efficient.  It is a great way to learn. There is no classroom requirement, no time spent commuting to a school location and no wasted time sitting around before class starts and during required classroom breaks. We are available to help with any question, have books available for free review at our office and provide a personal review at our office to help you learn the material and pass the PSI exam. Software is provided by REcampus, the leading provider of online real estate courses & textbooks nationwide.  You have access to the instructor by email or phone.  How do I take the course exam?   The state requires a proctored (monitored) course exam which you may take at our Reston, Virginia office.  If not possible, we mutually arranage for you to take the course exam at most any library near you.  We are not like other schools. If you pass OR don’t pass, we provide a personal review as noted below.  The course exam review is a great exam prep.  Note:  After you pass the course exam, your information will be sent to PSI so you can schedule you official license exam by psiexams.com.  They charge $60 for the license exam plus $50 for fingerprinting. What if I fail the course exam?   You will likely pass the second time after our instructor’s personalized review and review notes.  There is never a cost to retake the course exam.  Our instructor (VA broker) will provide a personalized review based on the questions you got wrong.  This is done in person in our Northern Virginia office or by email if not in the local area.  This is a big advantage that no other school provides.  We don't just tell you if you pass or fail, we help you learn. Our Virginia instructor/broker also provides you with his own exam prep via Review Notes that cover subjects that you will have on the PSI exam. Our goal is for you to pass the official licensing exam from PSI on your first try.  You may take the course exam up to 3 times.  In the unusual event that you don’t pass it by the third time, you would need to retake the online course at a reduced price.  The instructor notes that no one who has come to the Reston office has ever had to take the course exam a third time.  Check out our google reviews ! Is an instructor available?  Yes. Paul Hartke, a licensed Virginia real estate instructor who lives and works in Reston, VA, is available by email or phone during or after the course. He is also a licensed real estate broker and non-practicing attorney. And he is available 7 days a week.  Paul will answer any questions about the course content and provides extra review material to all students who finish the course. What happens after I pass? You are eligible to take the official licensing exam administered by psiexams.com. It costs $60. There is also a required $50 fingerprinting done at same time and place as the PSI exam.  After you pass the PSI exam, you may apply for your license with a broker of your choice. Are books required? No. There are no books needed because the online course is designed to cover what you need to pass the PSI license exam.  However, the basic textbook and the exam prep books are available for purchase or you may come in to our office to review them for free. Books are totally optional. Is there a refund policy? Yes. You may request a full refund for any reason for one full week (7 days) after purchasing the course.  You may request a refund by email or phone.  If you What if I have a problem or need help? Call or email us anytime and we will respond quickly. An automated email will have a link to start. Can I use an Apple product or a tablet? The latest operating systems and browsers support is listed here. How do I sign up? You sign up online with a credit card on a secure site and check out like any online purchase. You choose your user name and password. I have a current out-of-state license.  Do I need this course?   It depends. Check out our license by reciprocity page.
