Virginia Real Estate Broker License
In Virginia, there are two classes of real estate licensees.
Salespersons (commonly referred to as real estate agents) -
Salespersons must work under the authority of a broker.
Brokers - Some people get a broker license to run their own company.
Others desire the broker title so they have stronger credentials and
knowledge of the business. One may become a broker only after having
the required minimum 3 years experience, broker courses with course
exam(s) and taking the broker exam by PSI. The more detailed
requirements are listed below and on the Real Estate Board DPOR
website.
